Very nice. Roughly how deep is the water here Lenny? And when you say you had to swim, do you mean you were in the water flying the kite?

Water about 8 ft deep, waded out to some rocks where I put the rig on the kite, then swam out about 30 foot to get over the boat, they weren't waiting for me either. So, yes, flying the kite while swimming - good thing the wind didn't drop too much. That's onshore winds for you

Nice effort and a fine shot.

Note to self: Try swimming and flying kite at the same time. Certain to be a challenge.

Swimming with the kite spool - another benefit of "autoKAP". I wouldn't like to be in the sea trying to keep my RC transmitter dry above my head.

Fantastic!

Well done, if I were a teacher I'd give you a platinum star, maybe two.

There is so much inspiration on Flickr and you introduced me to the concept of KAP - thank you.

Beautiful shot, and a great story to boot. Wish I could have been there to watch you take it - that would have been a fun photo in itself! Did the rowers even notice you? They aren't falling out of the boat laughing!

I second Simon's suggestion of "KAPping whilst -----"

Your work is stunning and this is one of my favorites. The water texture is great and the timing (just after the stroke) is right on the money and all while being drug thru the water. Thanks for the inspiration.
