a while back, i bought him a promise ring. not quite the commitment of an engagement- but something very close. for our anniversary, september 18th, he bought me this claddagh ring with a celtic knot design to match his.
he leaves for school in three weeks- and we will spend more and more time apart. i'm hoping with my whole heart that time and distance won't break us up. he is what i see in my future.
i'm taking a large leap of faith here. every previous experience is screaming at me to break it off now before i get hurt. i'm trying to trust that this relationship will be different. i guess the ring is proof that he wants the same thing.

we did a quick google on claddagh rings and settled on one in our price range. it did end up breaking about six months later, so i would recommend a higher quality one.
