With all due respect to its original designer, Yiying Lu, I saw a suggestion from Steve Rubel today on Friendfeed about the idea of celebrating success rather than failure. He said “Can we please swap out FAIL for SUCCEED?” to which bostondave said "Would that be a Success Whale" - so I decided to make what I thought the Success Whale might look like. Made with the GIMP and Inkscape, and a heck of a lot of fun.

Definitely a great way to express Twitter success - especially today through all the earthquake postings!

Of course Twitter was down for 50 minutes already today according to pingdom. Hold back on the "prevail-whale" for a while longer.

Made my day. The Fail Whale has always been a cuddly sign of bad times, so it is great to see the birds get towed for a change.
