Sherblock Holmes

Brilliant!
Jordan was the first person I saw do this...I can't take credit clicky
:-)

Looks great here!
Wonderful parts use!
Thanks...it was the result of not having any dark orange 1x4 tiles.
This part here is inventive.
Very snotty door!
The other one is even more snotty
Streetlamp is very nice touch!
I love the old-fashion bicycle. Very nice touch.
This roof area is the best bit.
no way, this part by far. Superior work legohaulic!
My favourite bit
My second favourite bit
Is there a man here hiding behind the streetlamp?
yup...Dr. Moriarty, Holmes' arch nemesis.
Clever

closeup of Sherblock and Dr. Watson

I'm a big fan of Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes so I had to do him in Lego. This was really a labor of love because I really dislike building structures like this. I fell heavily on inspiration and techniques from the Green Grocer set. Don't expect too many more structure like this from me.

Wonderful cobblestone. I'm guessing this is from the Hound of the Baskervilles?

I originally thought the road was covered in snow, not cobbled!

Brilliant model.

Doesn't feel right to me, but I guess that's just cause I admire the building they used in the Jeremy Brett TV series. Still a really good job though.

Totally an awesome modular build. One could go on and on about the detail and care you took with this, but I'll let your photography on this subject speak for itself! Wicked. : )

First the street texture grabs your eyes, but then upon closer examination, boom! the rest of the scene is very well done. Great work!

Somehow I missed this - thank goodness for TBB. I never read too much of the Holmes stories, but I loved the ones I did read. Excellent work capturing the feel. The cobblestoning is brilliant.
