I can't help but think of that fifties pop ballad when I see this view at this time of day. I like to think of Adventureland as part excitement, part romance, and this time of day seems to bring out both equally.

Explore the port city of New Orleans and the surrounding waterways from the comfort and glamour of the Mark Twain, the riverboat belle of the Rivers of America.

Nestled deep in the exotic realms of Adventureland lies Aladdin's Oasis, a small yet enchanting locale enriched in the lavish architecture of the Arabian lands. On many a night, this captivating courtyard lies in quiet, but sit down, look, and listen. Let the lantern's glow carry you off to those mystic lands, and you might even hear the tale told of a brave young boy and his adventures with an all-powerful Genie.

I've always loved the exotic romance of Adventureland, and the whole area comes to life with a certain enchantment once the sun sets. As I was passing by the Jungle Cruise during blue hour, I noticed the upper queue of the boathouse was open and the opportunity was too good to pass up. I was able to snag this unique view of Aladdin's Oasis at the time of day that perhaps this Arabian beauty perfectly.

On another note, this was my first time using Photomatix as well as Nik filters to experiment with my work. The processing worked beautifully with my subject, and I'm excited to see what these tools will do for me in the future!
