On the edge of tomorrow lie the gardens of Pixie Hollow, a charming and enchanting place just as wonderful as the future it sits next to. After dark, glowing waters and colorful jets transform this corner into a magnificent spectacle
Violent weather conditions are a problem for most vessels, but not for submarines such as the Explorer. At a command, the ballast tanks are flooded and the diving planes angled, sending the Explorer beneath the waves to cruise at a peaceful depth.
For some reason, posting this shot brought to mind the future of Meet the Robinsons, a computer-animated Disney film from a few years back. In the first act of the film, an orphan boy from the present is suddenly shifted into the future and discovers the incredible, wonderful, and colorful world of tomorrow. And, at one point, he even zooms past an homage to the original world of tomorrow, a theme park titled "Todayland" with its very own Space Mountain and Rocket Jets attractions.
Our world has yet to catch up with the future, but we still have a little slice of the colorful tomorrow of fantasy, including our original Space Mountain.
See the pyramids along the Nile. Watch the sunrise from a tropic isle. Just remember darling, all the while, You belong to me.
I can't help but think of that fifties pop ballad when I see this view at this time of day. I like to think of Adventureland as part excitement, part romance, and this time of day seems to bring out both equally.
