Been wanting to take this type of shot for ages, had to get some milk late on Bank Holiday Easter Monday and was passing on the way back from a snowy Drayton Mannor, so popped in just for milk. Highly profitable for both me and the retailer, 2 cups of tea, oh I fancy a third you know!
As an aside, did you know that the price of Petrol in some cases had to be capped at 99p about two years ago, because some stations either could not display three.one digit figures, or the tills were unable to cope with 100.4p? It was .4p before the half pence tax rise put us back at .9p. Many retailers have had to invest in LED displays. Some without LED displays don't update one of the digits when the price of fuel is unstable, not that I pay close attention to this, also some are almost embraced to advertise how expensive the diesel is and so leave it at 11_.9p.
1p a week rise for the next 4 weeks BTW , then back down to this current price by May (hopefully).

aah, the Springhill Road Shell garage... I've spend a few pounds in there over the years :) I remember when it used to be a Gulf garage many moons ago.... Great night capture and framing !

My car likes Shell, hates Texaco and ASDA. I've got a thing about not shooting in pitch black darkness if at all possible, the blue hour adds to the feeling of the shot.
