sad for the tree and the person who felt the need to do this ... much editing was done here ... struggled a bit ethically with this one ...

I agree with greenjeans. that's the irony of this photo. it was probably a youthful indiscretion and a feeling that most likely came and went. But the tree has to live with this forever.
