bokeh splendor

bokeh splendor by Leaca's Philosophy.
I often have contacts ask how to add texture to your photos. I now have a tutorial on my blog and a texture that I have been playing with. I will be posting a free textures on my blog in the future under the creative commons license.

This is beautiful - gorgeous pink/green tones, and that sparkly bokeh is delicious :)

ETA - the bokeh texture - where'd you find that? :)

You can do a search for bokeh textures and find it. I can't remember if I got it off of someones blog or on flickr but any bokeh with tiny bokeh will work.

So fun! We just started a local group that shares textures -- I've only used it once digitally, but I've done it by sandwiching negatives together when making a darkroom print, too. I'm crazy like that :-)

that is kind of cool. i am in some groups here on flickr that share and I have shared a few there too. The only problem is there is so many it is hard to filter through all of them. I like going to blogs because they are usually offering a texture because they use it and like it.

I do know that I am an expert but what little knowledge I have is yours. =)

Well, I have to say that I've never thought of using a texture like the one you have used here, but now I have all kinds of ideas running through my head =D

I had not either and then I was looking through flickr one day and I notice people have bokeh in front and in back of their subjects and I could not figure out how they do that without a sun flare. Then I thought to search for bokeh textures and guess what? there are tons of them out there. that big light bulb on top of my head exploded. I have been playing with this and have had a ball. I still like shots without bokeh texture too but it is something fun to do once in a while.

Oh I have been wanting to do a texture forever! I bookmarked your tut in my delicious links. I thought that is how you did it, but the mask tip at the end is very helpful!!!
