louise sleeping

she's SO sweet, i can hardly stand it

miss kitty has lost a lot of weight lately, which has been a big concern this past week -- but changing her medications a bit has resulted in a much more comfortable-looking and perkier girl, so let's hope that's a trend in the right direction!

there's nothing specific wrong with her, other than being very old (17 years) -- she's had a chronic sinus problem for years and years, that's what the medicine is for, but this seems unrelated -- mysteriously losing weight rather rapidly. hoping that the medicine change will be all she needs!

So very sweet, still, at seventeen. May the change in meds be the fix it you need, thus giving you another few years with yr old friend. We've an old gal who will be seventeen this September, so I know how dear they can be. And grumpy sometimes too! It's a lovely shot of your old friend.

yes, she's had the whole battery of blood tests and kidney checks and etc., and everything looks great -- which could mean that something very bad is lurking, like cancer -- but we're hopeful that changing the antibiotics will be all she needs. will see next week if her weight has stabilized...

thanks for the recent notes here -- this photo was taken last year, and i'm sad to say that louise has passed away since then, although at nearly 18 years old, she had a good long life!
