Chicagoans turned out on January 16, 2012 (Martin Luther King Day) to take a stand against corporate greed and abusive banking practices. The rally/protest was organized in an attempt to encourage the banks to provide one billiion dollars in scholarships and student loan forgiveness. The symbolic focus of the rally was Bank of America; of the largest offenders in the widescale bank fraud that is crippling America. Crutches, canes and walkers were used to symbolize wounds inflicted on Americans.
