My beloved friend for more than 10 years died yesterday morning.
Everyone who ever met him loved him instantly, even those who doesn't
like cats. He was the most cuddly cat I ever got to know.
When I called him he always ran down the stairs and tried to climb up
my legs. When he was in reach of my face he always puts his nose on
mine or bites in my ears. He made me smile so, so often.
I had no chance to say goodbye because I'm in Munich and I have no idea how to stand the moment of coming home to a place without him. I wish I could have hold him during the last minutes.
At least after we rescued him from the animal shelter when he was 9 months old he had 10 wonderful years filled with eating and sleeping, cuddling and playing.
Goodbye Caruso. I know you are purring at me from cats-heaven and I will cuddle with you in my memories and dreams.

I took all of these when he was already very ill in November. We thought he would die during the next days. But when i came home from munich for some days he became better and better. And we finally thought everything's ok again.
When I saw him last time on 22th of January he was still very thin but fine, so I just cuddled him for a minute to say goodbye. Now I regret it. I wish I had him in my arms for hours and hours.

Anyone who says that cats become attached only to the house, be sure that they never had a cat. I can perfectly understand how you feel .. I'm sorry. I can see from the photos that you had a special bond.

i have a cat myself and right now reading this tears my heart in one million pieces.loosing your pet is like loosing a very intimate part of yourself. i really can not imagine being as close to any other creature in the world, not to anyone. furry friends grow on to you the most - because they never loose their innoscence. the thing i fear most is that my beloved fellow dies. i think of this every day and everything will be different from that day on.
