An owl and his human

Archimedes has been imprinted on humans since he was rescued when a young chick with blood parasites 12 years ago. (I have state and federal permits to keep him as an unreleasable education bird.) Owls nuzzle their family members, using "allopreening" to cement bonds between one another.
