I like what you were going for. I feel like
there may have been a better framing for this
though. There are a lot of elements that
make this, as framed, bottom-heavy. The
darkest tones are on the bottom, the fence is
a horizontal element, and the cranes/cables
all ultimately resolve in the bottom of the
frame. To me this makes all the cloud up on
top a little disjointed - it's kind of heavy
without being really tied in, and i think
ultimately the cloud sort of takes over, and
distracts from the sunset itself.
It does make sense to be honest you, I was
actually in the process of cropping the image
for a better framing. So you probably will
see the changes later on tonight. I really
like your criticism since it gives me a
better understanding of my own images. And as
I always say ways to appreciate an image is
to observe , think, and to talk to about it.
This what art criticism entails. Thank you so
