Wow Lazslo....you didn't dissappoint me. Full of color and charm.
You must have a way with fish for he looks like he just came out to pose for you. Great capture of this beautiful one.

You must not have wanted to leave Brazil.

WOW! I'm so jealous that you got to dive in Brazil. In Salvador, I tried to dive but was told that a lot of the reefs were destroyed due to dynamite fishing.
That must be one big torch you carry around underwater!!!!!

Interesting variation here, good example of why generic names are solely generic and universal.

What we call a redband parrotfish here looks quite different!

Great lighting

Your brain is fine AnnA! There is mushroom coral here, and it is only found in Brazil. I was not lucky enough to see any. Now, I must come back... hehe

I get lucky once in a while Marilyn. But I must admit that on my few dives in Brazil, the fish were unusually... patient with my clumsy attempts to shoot their portraits... stay tuned... more to come.

Hi Eva That's too bad about the Salvador reefs. They take so long to heal... I use this old, archaic, Ikelite Substrobe Ai. They discontinued it years ago. The closest equivalent is the D-125
Happy (Belated) Birthday you Nikon Diva!

You are so right Celina! It's showing all of its teeth (or is that tooth?) :-D

Thanks Chris. It may be the same fish. These come in a ridiculous number of color variations. If you have Paul Humann's Reef Fish book, check out the "Florida variation" of the Sparisoma aurofrenatum. It looks almost identical to this one, but I am not sure...

I love your country Ale! Yes, great times.

Thanks Roger! The reef offers so many opportunities.

Yeah Paul, I'd gone far too long without a tank on my back. I love all sorts of travel, but I must sneak in a dive trip ever so often. ahhhhhhhh
