125. You Spin Me Right Round

Sleater-Kinney: the first band to turn my little world upside down.

This morning, when I decided I didn't want to listen to anything else all day, I remembered just why it was they used to be the only good thing about my life.

Corin's eyes in this video, for starters.

I'm actually wearing my battered old Sleater-Kinney t-shirt in this photo, not that you can tell because I liked this one better than the alternatives which showed some logo love. Remind me to tell you my total fangirl story involving this t-shirt and Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard some day ;)

Sleater-Kinney! i was in second year and the guy from bis still worked in missing rewind. I wanted to buy Henrey Rollins 'liar' (red vinyl with wicked poster) but couldn't afford it, paul, the sleated kinney fan got it. Henry Rollins and sleater kinney? go figure. Later that day I picked up the delgados Monica Webster for 50p at vinyl freaks in gibson street!

Can't remember many Sleater Kinney songs, but is funny the memories that bands can trigger.
