Great Horned Owl

This rehabilitated owl can be fierce when frightened. The handler has it wrapped in a towel and is wearing a heavy leather glove. Moments later, it flew away, released back into the wild.

The release was near my home. Maybe we will meet again. :-)

Swainsons Hawk

This hawk is being returned to the wild after recuperating in a bird of prey rehabilitation center. I was fortunate enough to be present for the release.
