We were still working on the jail break.

The last big record store downtown. Even I, an avid consumer (and purchaser) of music with more LP's and CD's than I can be bothered to count, hadn't bought anything there in at least 5 years.

Fortunately, the Indy shops are surviving. Possibly even thriving.

Since taking over chief cook and bottle washer duties at home, I've been baking bread instead of buying it. Much tastier and cheaper to boot.

I haven't delved too deeply into the esoterica of breadmaking yet though, sticking to stock recipes in our breadmaker. Today, I decided to try something a little new, swapping the butter in my whole wheat loaf out for a smaller amount of bacon fat with a bit of extra water and skim milk powder to compensate for the other butter bits.

I don't think I'll be needing to buy quite so much butter moving forward...

Because it always makes sense to learn how to drive in a high performance sports car.
