From sublime to ridiculous
This once glorious mansion, which we passed most mornings on the walk, has fallen into a sorry state of repair.
It was abandoned after the last owner died a few years ago.
Named "Horizons," this used to be the home of Anna Nicole Smith....

My Little Princess
This potcake came into my life five days after I arrived: scrawny, frightened, and covered with ticks and fleas.
And she had a gastrointestinal infection as well. No, she wasn't pregnant, but obviously has been in the past.
She's made great strides in three weeks: got a few pounds on her (no more glaring ribs!) and a happy dog who likes going for walkies with her Auntie Linda.
Wish I could have brought her home with me....
