• Black background: Cut pieces from the flavors Late Night Cheeseburger and Pizza Supreme
  • White line: Seam from the back of the Late Night Cheeseburger flavor
  • Triangle: I used a chip from the Toasted Corn flavor. Toasted Corn and Cool Ranch have the chips with the lightest hue.
  • Red line: Nacho Cheese Flavor
  • Orange line: Doritos Throwback Taco flavor
    (limited edition)
  • Yellow line: Toasted Corn flavor
  • Green line: Salsa Verde flavor
  • Purple line: Spicy Sweet Chili flavor
  • Blue line: Blazin' Buffalo & Ranch flavor. (Cool Ranch would also work)

Dark Side of the Doritos

Newer Older

Made from cut bags of the following 8 Doritos flavors:

Late Night Cheeseburger
Pizza Supreme
Nacho Cheese
Throwback Taco (Limited Edition)
Toasted Corn
Salsa Verde
Blazin' Buffalo & Ranch
Spicy Sweet Chili

There are a lot of Doritos flavors out there, perhaps too many. There is literally a flavor / package for each color used in the Dark Side of the Moon album cover design. So I thought it would be a fun project to try and make the album cover out of cut pieces from those bags.

If you'd like to make this yourself, here's what you'll need:

-At least 8 bags of Doritos, 8 different flavors.
(View the notes on the image above to see which bags / flavors I used for each section.)
-Exacto knife and scissors
-Super glue (to help keep the spectrum of colors together)
-Storage bags (to store the Doritos after you take them out of the original bags)

Cut off the sections from the bags that have the least amount of type / images.
Find a good chip.
Arrange pieces together until it resembles the Dark Side of the Moon cover.
Take a photo and show it to your friends.
Have fun.
