Un consejo, yo también usaba desaturar para convertir a B/N pero prueba a usar el Chanel Mixer (Imagen>Ajustes>Mezclador de Canales... creo) y pulsar en Monocromo. Si varías los valores que tienes te dará mucho más control sobre la conversión. :)

ignacio izquierdo: Tengo que confesar que al principio también veia demasiado blanco en el fondo, pero finalmente me gustó la manera en que esa luz destaca la oscuridad que irradia de los ropajes, y con un fondo más gris, la figura destacaba muchísimo menos.
En cuanto tenga tiempo probaré el método que me dices. ¡Lo que aprende uno por aquí! :)

... thankfully (from my viewpoint) halloween came and went mostly unnoticed out here in oz - your grim reaper is being appreciated here in oz - (viewed from far away) - the grim reaper was used most effectively here in tv ads at the start of the aids/hiv thing - he would put down his big cutting device (the name of which I can't find the spelling of) pick up a ten pin bowling ball and bowl at the ten pins in the form of everyday men women and children - yes scythe is the word - there is a catholic school called All Hallows in Brisbane overlooking the river so I guess they would have celebrated - scary cheers ...

Halloween didn't exist in Spain as we know it now. It's an american invention (you know, we MUST celebrate something and spend our money stupidly at least once every two months for the economy to work fine). The real tradition here is bringing flowers to the faithful departed and spending the day in family. The catholic church adapted this from an ancient ritual, probably celtic or iberic, during which food and flowers were ofrended to the spirits to keep them quiet and away.

No, no lo leí, pero lo tendre en cuenta cuando pase por la libreria. Igual, cuando escribi el comentario pense que siga durmiendo, lo que no implica que desearía que lo haga por siempre. Estoy muy de acuerdo con la hipótesis de que no morir sería mucho peor.
Todo esto me recuerda a la pelicula de Steven Spielberg "Inteligencia Artificial", y a un buen libro que leí: "La muerte y sus ventajas" de Marcelino Cereijido. Recomiendo ambos!

biogirl p53: Tomo nota del libro de Cereijido, para cuando vuelva a tener tiempo para leer. En cuanto a la película de Spielberg, está basada en las historias de Isaac Asimov sobre robots, todas ellas absolutamente recomendables.
En todos los casos -Saramago, Asimov- queda bastante claro que los ciclos de la naturaleza están bién tal como son.
Ha sido un placer "filosofar" contigo. Un saludo :)
