LET IT GO

In life,
there are people who can walk away from you
and things you love that will change, drift away or die.
When people can walk away from you:
(And hear me when I tell you this...)
LET THEM WALK!

When things drift,
TRY REELING THEM IN.
But if they're too far out
Or if something's died....
LET IT GO.

I don't want you to try to talk another person
into staying with you,
loving you,
calling you,
caring about you,
coming to see you,
staying attached to you.

I mean hang up the phone. DO NOT dial their number again.

When people can walk away from you
LET THEM WALK.

Your destiny is NEVER tied to anybody that left.

People leave
because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you,
you can't make them stay.
LET THEM GO.

This doesn't mean that either of you were bad,
or that someone is needed to be blamed....
it just means that your parts in another's story is over.

And you've got to know when people's
part in your story is over
so that you don't keep trying
to raise the dead.

You've got to know when it's dead.
You've got to know when it's over.

Share this with others.
This powerful and empowering gift of good-bye.
Believe in it. It's one of those things
that's good for you.

I'm not telling you to be hateful,
just to be faithful,
Because whatever is meant for you to have
YOU WILL.

If it takes too much energy
if it never quite seems right,
it probably
IS NOT RIGHT.

Stop begging people to stay.
and digging till your fingers reach the bone.
LET THEM GO!

If you are holding on to something
that doesn't belong to you
and was never intended for your life,
then you need to
LET IT GO!
You both deserve what was meant for you.

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ...
LET IT GO!
Your future IS
in your control

If someone can't treat you right,
love you back,
and see your worth...
LET THEM GO!
There are plenty of people out there
who know the value of a gem.

If someone has angered you
and you want to set your heart free
LET IT GO!
Anger does not taste better with time
And you deserve
what is sweet.

If you are holding on to thoughts of evil and revenge
LET IT GO!
People reap what they sow anyway.

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction
LET IT GO!
You only live once.
DO IT RIGHT.

If you are holding on to a job
that no longer meets your needs or talents
LET IT GO!
Life is too short to be unhappy.
And in most cases
it's easier than you think to begin again,
to walk another path
with a little effort...

even if it's just one foot
in front of the other,
one call till the next,
or or door
at a time.

If you have a bad attitude
LET IT GO!
You have the right to be happy.
And your body,
the right to be healthy.

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better
LET IT GO!
We all make mistakes.
We're all human.
Do the best with what you have.
And treat others
As you would want in return.

If you're stuck in the past
and God is trying to take you to a new level
LET THE PAST GO!
Life is about growth.
About experiencing what it is
to blossom
to ripen.
To be reborn.

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship
LET IT GO!
Everyone deserves a second chance.
Just keep your eyes open,
and don't be a fool.

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help
themselves
LET IT GO!
Know when to stop.

Sometimes hitting the pavement
is the best lesson
you can give someone you love.

If you're feeling depressed and stressed
LET IT GO!
and reach out.
You'll be surprised
at how many friends AND strangers
will be reaching for your hands.

If there is a particular situation
that you are so used to handling yourself
and you feel God is saying
"Take your hands off of it,"
then you need to...
LET IT GO!

Let the past be the past.
The former things be a memory.
LET IT GO!
There will be new year's,
always opportunities for new pages in your life.

You dont always have to know
where you're going.
Whether you turn right,
or turn left
You'll think about it on the way,
You'll be released.
YOU"LL HAVE LET YOURSELF GO!!!
