Happy Monday, y'all!
This is an image that I'd been meaning to post for a while...I ditched the first hour of a mandatory meeting last year to sneak over to the coast and catch this promising-looking sunset. It never yielded the ultimately fiery sky I was initially hoping for, but I found the lines in the illuminated clouds to be equally beautiful and knew I wanted to somehow highlight them in my comp.
As I love to photograph reflections, I was tempted to look for some wet sand, and get down and shoot the pier reflecting...but instead I went for a little retreating wave action to match the patterns in the sky. This one took me several tries to nail...those waves just don't like to cooperate!
As always, feedback is welcome. I know these past few images are different from what I've gotten you all accustomed to seeing in my stream, but I hope you're still enjoying them -- and I definitely don't consider myself a master of seascapes, let alone urban-style seascapes, so I'd love to hear what you all think.
Almost finished going through my Yosemite/CA coast photos from last weekend, by the way...I'll put a few of them up soon!
Have a great, great, GREAT week!
