This has been photoshopped to make the BG black and get the effect on her face which I thought looked nice.

The black background is making the girl coming out of the picture. I also like the fact that she is not in the middle of the picture, so nice composition!
Her eyes are beautiful, although she seems to look a little bit sad. She is looking at the camera, but still it seems as if there is no contact.

This is quite simply a wonderful portrait which hits all the right points. Composition is good with the girl moved to the right of the frame and coloration is subtle and non distracting.

The only thing I wish is that the background wasn't so dark - there seems to have been some photoshopping involved (particularly on the right hand side edge of the head gear) and that makes this feel just slightly unnatural.

Very nice. I like the composition, rule of third indeed, colour and crop. I wonder if this portrait might have been better with something other than empty blackness on the left. Maybe a not too distracting background.

Still, great photo. I find it hard to photograph people.

The photo is good. I like the composition and the black background. I am not so sure about her expression, however. It doesn't seem to say anything. I think the photo would be more engaging if she was happy, or sad, or something other than completely bland.

Also, on my monitor I can see some funny pixilation sort of effect in the dark areas near her ears. I am not sure if that is just my monitor or if it is something in the original image.

I agree that the dark background adds to this image,Her expression is compelling,the rich colors give you the feel for the subject's culture.I think she is too far to the right,off center is different in a portrait,interesting,but maybe a little too far here. Rating #10:
