Harry Potter

I wonder how many people outside of the Indian subcontinent would understand the gravity of this shot. You are a maestro with shadow and lighting indeed :).
Harry Potter by lakshmi.prabhala.
JK Rowling, kindly excuse me for borrowing your title.

I liked the concentration on the face of the man here.

"Yet, O Lord, you are our divine parent; we are the clay and you the potter: we are all the work of your hands." (Isaiah 64: 7)

You continue to be patient with us, nudging us closer to what you had in mind when you began this work of art that each of us is. What an incredible thought - each of us is your own work of art in progress. You create each of us to embody your love in a way no one else can. We are clay in your loving hands, being molded until we reflect that beauty you've had in mind for us for all eternity.

The inclusion of completed pots of the right is a nice touch, enhancing an already excellent portrait.

Wow this is excellent. Everything is working in this photo: lighting, exposure, composition, even the funky tilt...awesome. (I've never given this high a score.)

The angle really works well on this pic. And I'm not usually a fan of the Batman TV show camera angle. I reckon the fact that the point of the clay pot on the wheel is directed straight into the corner of the frame is probably what makes it work. Lightin is great, as is the composition. The finished pots on the left filling that space nicely. Good stuff.

There's a lot to like about this. The angle makes it a bit different. There's motion on the wheel. I like how the subject is off-center. Also well exposed. Score 9/10. Score Me!

Nice light .. the angled composition is fresh .. makes possible to have all the elements in the frame.
Nice capture of both tah motion as well as stillness of the Potter.
Could be titled "Hari Puttar" ;)

On the lighter tone, your description suits the Aishwarya Rais' that are churned out every year......

For some others, maybe, HE was overworked and had to do an "Over time" on a holiday ;-)

Love this picture, both for the composition and for the man's obvious skill (potter-in-training myself). I actually think the angle makes this picture so good to me. Love the balanced but tilted feel it lends.
