Trio of Silvers

The Silver is one of the oldest rabbit breeds in existence. It's a primitive-type breed - they aren't much different than their wild ancestors. Silvers were included in the livestock on Sir Walter Raleigh's voyages. They're also mentioned in Charles Darwin's works. Silvers come in three colors in the US: black (left), brown (actually wild agouti with silver tipping, center) and fawn (right). These lovely animals were exhibited at a rabbit event in Richmond, Virginia.

I thought they were just beautiful!
