Loew-Brenn Computer Lab

As the lab assistant, this is my desk.
Loew-Brenn Computer Lab by laffy4k.
For 9 hours each week, this is my kingdom... as far as the eye can see (...unless you look out the window or one of the doors - but I don't recommend it)

This is the Loew-Brenn computer lab at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana.

(As of the Fall 2006 semester, this computer lab has been closed due to insufficient use. There is a new mini-lab on the second floor that uses some of the computers that are shown in this picture.)

(April 2006 - This picture was used on the "Coming Soon" website page for a company called M2 Technology, based out of Colorado.)

(November 2006 - This picture is being used by a company called BigFix, Inc. on their website: stage.bigfix.com/thepower/)

(September 8, 2008 - This picture is being used on the main page of the desda.eu/voorbeelden website.)

Per your "creative commons" license, may I use this for a website? (Quoting from the legal-ese: You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author)

Thanks!

Sure, go ahead! What's the website that you plan on using it on?

I think that maybe as long as you put a link back to this picture on Flickr, that everything should be cool.

m2-technology.com
A teeny two-person company just getting started... who provides IT and IIS services.

I will put your info in the ALT tag, as well as adding a comment in the HTML. Thank you ever so much!

Hi, I'm yet another business owner that wants to use your photo. In my case, I would like to use it in brochures for my company. It is a small computer-consulting company in Portland, Oregon, and these brochures would be sent to local businesses as advertisements. Your photo would be one of a half dozen or so throughout the brochure.

If you approve, then I would need to know what copyright tag you would like on the photo.

I've used a remix of this picture for my website: billyherman.com.

I get no credit for the layout; it's a Rapidweaver kit by Blueball Design. But I think it looks pretty cool in the layout.

A link with your real name is at the bottom of every page. Thanks for the picture!

If you wish any changes to the attribution please notify us so that we may implement them (I used your name instead of your Flickr ID as you have requested others to do above). Thanks!

PS- did not notice until just now that this is in Huntington, IN. My wife's family is from Huntington so I have actually been there as a tourist myself. Great pork loin!

All of the computers from the Loew-Brenn lab were moved to different parts of the college. Most of them were moved to the common areas (lounges, etc.) in the dorms, while six of them remained in Loew-Brenn Hall. They were moved upstairs to the large lounge there and placed at a circular section of desks, to be used as sort of a mini-computer lab. It was a good place for students to sit and quickly check their e-mail, or to print off a paper before class.

I don't think the corralls are a bad idea - screens are still so interesting to students that their eyes are automatically attracted to them - and the colours and variation. The barrier does not prevent communication in my view, only facilitates communication. We use a program which commands the student's screen when we want to talk to them in a lab, and this seems the best way to assure their attention.
