tv thing done

I spent severals weekends designing, building, rebuilding and painting this TV/stereo thingie. Its a kind of precursor project to the bigger one I'm (eventually) building downstairs.

I'm rather chuffed with it: although not in sight of perfect, its square and does its job perfectly!

The TV is on a pivoting arm attached to the wall, so that it swings out of the way (top left its retracted).

For West Wing viewing (and other shows too, i guess) it swings out (top left, bottom).

Finally my lovely Marantz amp, B&W speakers and PS3 have a fitting home. Awww.
