Homemade Pepperoni Pizza![]() ![]() One of my Flickr contacts asked me once, "Don't you ever just eat pizza?" Well... here's your answer. :)
I make my own pizza crust with my bread machine - you can also make it by hand or with the dough hook on a stand mixer. I think it's much tastier than delivery pizza - the crust is light and crisp and a little sweet. Here's what I use... 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water 3 cups flour 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 2 teaspoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2.5 teaspoons yeast The dough recipe makes two pizza crusts. I usually bake the crusts without toppings first - for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees. (brushed with olive oil) Then, I top them with whatever I'm in the mood for and bake until everything is melty and the crust is golden brown. The husband and I were in the mood for traditional pepperoni this weekend! Comments[Christine]
