unknown plant

unknown plant by kystorms.
This acts like a bulb in that it comes up each year in the same basic area *under a small redwood* the leaves make me think of an elephant ear in their shape.
Hoping that someone can ID this for me, so I know if I should leave it to grow.

i was wondering what it is myself, its not planted by me, but shows up in same general area each year. I replaced all this soil, so its not like it could have been there before my garden. Does Rhubarb volunteer?

thanks for the help

Actually, this looks to me like "Common Burdock", Arctium minus. A common non-native weed with a big taproot that is hard to pull. Definitely a plant to get rid of!

I agree with Jesse n Debbie. Rhubarb has a celery-like stalk. This looks much more like burdock. Yes indeedy, you want to get rid of that one!
