Through Fog We See

For Technical Questions : Canon EOS 30D; 1/15s; f/7.1; ISO 100; 50mm; tripod; flash not fired ;)

Postprocessing : Merged 2 shots together. One with me walking and one with the cars. Some fake ND - Filter from top down and a slight vigniette overall. Plus a little bit coloradjustment, added some overall blue in here.

This is fantastic, Martin. My favorite aspect is that the pedestrian (you) is walking in the opposite direction of the traffic - almost as if he's taking on the world. And the fog/mist adds so much. Excellent capture and work. Really nicely done!

Contrast... you walking what seems to be the old unpaved road/path (can't tell if it is paved) while the cars drive on the modern freshly paved road. I also like the mist in there. It's like two scenes, two separate dimensions that suddenly touch for a moment.

I like how you tell a little bit something in all of your photos (well, at least in all that I have looked at). Technical questions, postprocessing, story of the image, etc. are all very interesting to read. I wish I had time to write things like that too. Then again, I write a lot about my photos on my (Finnish) blog, but I guess I could learn to do it on Flickr too, in English.
