Time Of Processing & Rethinking : 1 hour
Story Of The Image : This one was made during a shooting of 2 close friends of mine which are going to marry and the images are going to be on the invitation card - but not this one ;) . I decided to do it in b&w and with high contrast to reduce the kinda cheesy feeling and to add some more special feeling to it. I think it is quite cool but I am open for contructive (note : not destructive) critique.

Yes, it does look like more than two pairs of hands. I'm not sure they so much look 'dirty' as that they have been doing some living. A place we all get to sooner or later. Their nails are very well manicured, however . The IDEA for the shot (composition) is what truly impresses me.
I'm not sure that the hands are gender-specific, but I do agree with sue tortoise's interpretation of the emotional message. Thanks to sue for pointing it out -- it's an interesting message.

Beautiful! I like that the large (male) hands are under and around the smaller (female) hands kind of in a protective gesture. And they are both open, in a very giving position, open to each other, giving to each other, open to life, giving to life. I love it!

So, jetzt muss ich mich doch mal noch zu den Händen äußern. Auf den ersten Blick meint man tatsächlich, es sind mehr als vier. Witziger Effekt. Die Komposition finde ich gut, sehr ausdrucksstark. Was mir nicht so ganz reinläuft, sind die Kontraste, die die Haut und die Nägel "schmutzig" machen. Wurde weiter oben schon mal erwähnt. Aber alles in allem sehr gelungen.
