For Technical Questions : This is no hdr. I merged 3 layers with different exposures together by myself. Addional to that I increased some midtones and decreased the black in some areas to add a little bit foggy feeling.

Postprocessing Time : 2 hours.

Personal Message This image is from a shooting with Arpad and Scott Lewis . This was the first place we visited and we tried different angles to shoot the tree.I totally enjoyed the conversations we had about flickr, photography-techniques and great photographers from the past and the present.

Update : After winning the fight against some colour-bugs I decided to let the image be as I uploaded it ;).

Ich finde das schon sehr ungewöhnlich, wie die Blautöne auf diesem Bild dominieren, kommt aber sehr gut.

Als Inspiration kann ich da keine große Namen nennen. Macht bei mir auch wenig Sinn, da ich in einigen Bereichen noch zu große Defizite habe, gerade im BIldaufbau oder Komposition, bei Schärfe ganz zu schweigen. Lieber orientiere ich mich an den vielen guten Fotografen, die hier bei flickr unterwegs sind.

Raumaufteilung und Perspektive finde ich sehr gelungen. Allerdings wirkt es auf mich leicht abfallend, ist das gewollt? Die Tonung ist sehr harmonisch und in sich stimmig, allerdings ist mir die Gesamtstimmung schon etwas zu surreal, vor allem verursacht durch die unnatürlich wirkende Farbe des Bodens. Das kommt aber erst auf den zweiten Blick. Auf den ersten Blick insgesamt sehr stimmig und beeindruckend.

Danke für Deinen Kommentar ! Hm, ich möchte mit meinen Fotografien zwar gern realistisch darstellen, aber wenns passt, mag ichs auch gern andersrum ;) Denke, da stellt sich die Frage, was realistisch ist. Ab dem Moment, in dem die Kamera zum Beispiel das Bild in ein JPEG komprimiert, ist das auch schon vorbei, da sie dann Weissabgleich und Kontraste "selbst" interpretiert...Da jede Kamera anders ist und auch wir selbst alle mit "anderen Augen" sehen, ist es schon schwierig auszumachen, was realistisch ist .. Weisst Du, was ich meine ? Wie siehst Du das ?

Obwohl Blau nicht gerade zu meinen Lieblingsfarben zählt finde ich das Bild sehr gut. Der Solitär wirkt mit dem Nebel im Hintergrund absolut beeindruckend.

eigentlich war ich fast geneigt nen platinum award zu verteilen habe mich aber dagegen entschieden, denn so scheiße ist das bild gar nicht!! :) LOL
geile kalte tonung und der fcuking fog bringt noch eine extra portion frostfaktor rein! ahhh die kalt/coole tonung...sei ehrlich, du hast das kaltgelegte histogramm vom matze benutzt, richtig? :-D

Hm, interessanter Gedanke, Matze. Denke, das ist ne Auslegungsfrage.. Für mich ist ein HDR etwas, das nicht von mir selbst zusammengesetzt wurde .. Auf der anderen Seite ist es im Endeffekt das Gleiche bzw sehr ähnlich ...Stimmt aber, ich muss es ja nicht jedesmal sagen, dass es keins ist ;)
