If you use a laptop for digital composition
and you often take the console with you, Korg
nano series is a nice choice, really compact
and fancy.
I worked in sound studio before, and I feel
that a solid fader is much better than a
virtual one.
Mixing and adjusting fade-in or fade-out
with mouse....what a nightmare.
(Yet, if you use your midi set indoors, like
a studio or your room, Korg nano key is not
suggested. A larger-sized midi input
keyboard, like the ones with 61 or even 88
keys, is more comfortable to use.)

How well does this midi unit work with
cubase?
I noticed people say that if you switch a
button on the unit, then adjust on screen it
will not change the buttons on the
controller.. i appreciate that the faders are
not mechanical but i would have thought the
led's would switch on/off when doing so
within the program.
Also you talk about the nano key.. that's
another unit which is not in the picture,
correct?
If so then i already have a midi controller
for playing strings/synth but i have been
looking for a nice mixing control surface
with faders and noticed this on my travels
so now i am doing some research. ^^
Can you recommend anything else at all that
is nice to have in a home studio? i love
buying little things to use and test out.
Right now i study sound engineering at
college and i have had a chance to work in
some little studios and also i know some
things about live shows.
I record everything from home and currently
my set up is small.. the main thing i use it
my macbook and 'emu 0404'
Do you think this unit would work with such
things as pro tools, logic and garage band?
(i understand you use a pc, so don't worry)
Also, i do not wish to be ignorant but i was
wondering which nationality are you?
