This is actually the first in a series called "Beaded" I did for my Digital Art class. I was trying to do something a little different than the regular self-portraits - mainly focusing on something else other than my face - enter the red necklace.

alone, it has less meaning, but as part of the beaded series, it does have meaning. i was trying to draw with the beads on my face, to create interesting contours with the necklace. and jewelery itself has a lot of meaning to me.
