I switched a year ago to an Imac G5 and it still works as the first day.

Any PC after some weeks working, several updates, drives, complex installs and a few system crashes... is out of date and running slower!

Highly recommend you get one first chance you get. Have to say that the new intel-Macs are *much* better than PC's now (coming from a die-hard PC hacker/user for so many years). Bought one a few months back and haven't turned on my PC since (except for TeamFortress and Halo online ;-)

But, graphic, well, graphic is apple (lol). The first computer I have "programmed" was an Amiga -- less-expensive alternative to the Apple Macintosh! Also really great talking about multimedia. Long time ago...

Stop dreaming Joe, start saving, have a garage sale, ebay misc items, scratch and claw till you've got enough and then swallow deeply and take the plunge. I have a imac similar to the one above (smaller screen) that I bought almost 2 years ago, and I love it. I dont regret it for a minute. I have a nice PC at work with a big screen but still the difference is night and day when looking at photo presentation quality. With the work you do onscreen using a lesser monitor is like having a muted filter on your camera when taking the original photo.

I dream that my desk could look so clean.
