tugging at the hem

unfortunately, i have very few memories
of my paternal grandmother.
she passed away when i was just 4,
and i struggle to recall her features.
there is no smile nor laugh
whose traces i can still hear and see.....


but i have this recurring memory
from when i was 3
in which i sat on the floor at her feet
tugging at the hem of her dress.
invariably this recollection
comes to mind whenever i pass an anthropologie window....
