If I could rescue only one thing from a fire today, this would be it. This little red moleskine contains all the tango-related notes I recorded during the four months I studied tango in Buenos Aires. I took private lessons with a maestro and he got to know me so well that he came to recognize how 'epiphany' looks on my face. When he noticed it, he'd make me sit down to write in this notebook. I'd scribble furiously to try to capture everything I was learning. Today, I opened the book up to take this photo and only realized later that I had turned to a page that says... "He was beaming!" I remember that day, I danced so well he was beaming like a proud father.

I wore these when I was just two years old! I display them proudly, and they tend to start LOTS of conversations (because they are so teeny weeny). I love that the leather on the toe is all scuffed up. Before my siblings arrived, just Mom, Dad and I took a two-month long road/camping trip from Canada down to Oklahoma and back (to visit family down there). Oh, I just love these boots! I bet they used to come up almost to my knees!
