The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain. by Krikit ♥.

I was thinking that with Hurricane Dolly we'd get some pretty substantial rain and cloud-action up this way (Austin, TX). We did...and the best place I could think for awesome landscape shots was atop Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg, TX (an hour West). It's about 425 feet above ground overlooking the TX hill country. Whoever thought Texas was just a flat, brown, and dry state...was a moron.

Anyway...
It was a torrential downpour most of the way there, but after the drive and a 20'ish minute hike we reached the top just in time to catch a storm in the distance. I have so many awesome shots from today...so hard to chose which ones to upload!

Shy - it was so fun but we got there at 7:00! We could only spend like, an hour and a half there...and you know that leaves very little time to really explore the park.

I tried to take as many shots as I could.

I also slipped on a giant rock and totally bit it. Face first. Cut up my hand and there are 2 gnarly bruises on my legs...not pretty. I'm just glad the camera wasn't busted up.

- PS: I'm going to Sedona next week!!! Grand Canyon! OMG I'm so excited.

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen we the sun setting over the mountains as the thunderstorms started to stir into the basin in New Mexico.
