Vader

Vader

I was playing around with lighting the Darth Vader Lego minifig. It was fun to play around with different lighting scenarios to see the different affects.

This is one of the shots that came out of this experiment.

Long Island

Long Island

This is a picture of the five different types of alchohol it takes to make a Long Island Iced Tea. Last night was New Years Eve and we had a little get together at our house. I was playing bar tender and gave the guests a choice of 8 different mixed drinks to choose from. The Long Island Iced Tea was one of the drinks that was offered.

I thought it would be fun to have my first picutre of the year be a shot of items it takes to make a Long Island Iced Tea.

I hope everyone had a great New Years. Be Safe.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

I received my new 100mm macro lens for christmas and I couldn't wait to try it out. While walking down the hall, I saw our advent calendar and decided to take a quick shot of the star in the pocket for the 24th. One thing I'm going to have to get used to with the new macro lens is the depth of field. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Sleeping Charlie

Sleeping Charlie

This is our dog Charlie. She is still a puppy, so any time she lays down and goes to sleep, is a miracle. I have never seen a dog with so much energy in my life. Anyway, I was testing out my new 1D Mark IV and thought I would take a picture of her while she was sleeping. This was shot with an ISO of 5000 down in the home theater in our basement. The lights were down so it wasn't super bright in there. I think the camera is doing really well in low light situations.

Hand Stand

Hand Stand

As Andrew and I were walking through Denver at night on our way to the Millenium bridge, we came accross this strange sight. Of course we immediately stopped, pulled out our cameras, tripods and started shooting away.
