Common Bronzewing (Phaps chalcoptera)
Wamboin, NSW, Australia.
This male is one of several (at least 2 males and 3 females) that visit our garden almost daily (we live in the country) - they are attracted to the wild bird seed we put out for the cockies, galahs and rosellas. They're very flighty, and this one was making haste due to my presence.
We suspect they're nesting on the property somewhere, but haven't yet found any nests.
