Loading The Water Trucks in Montrose...

and the water loads not from the TOP of the tank (the sensible thing), but from the bottom. Brilliant.
Unrelated container. Nothing to see here, move along...
By raising prices for diesel fuel, the price of water delivery goes up. I wonder if the price of pipes has gone up?
Loading The Water Trucks in Montrose... by TaranRampersad.
While large parts of the world are worried about internet access, there is still a part of society that has trucks delivering water so that people can exist.

Water your people by truck. It must be cheaper than running pipes, otherwise the intelligent people running things in Trinidad and Tobago probably would have run pipes and had an efficient water system. Right?

One of these days, I'll tail the trucks and see where they are dropping off the water. I'm betting it's not at the Prime Minister's house, but one never knows... he says he needs an airplane. Maybe he wants to fly water in...

It seems like a one man operaton and that probably the reason for filling the tank from the bottom; he doesn't have to deal with handling the hose or letting it go to turn off the water when the tank is filled.

I'm sorry, that doesn't make sense to me. If there is a connection at the bottom of the tank for the hose... and there is... then the person who created it, with an understanding of Archimedes Principle would probably have put a connection at the top. This is so that water pressure doesn't have to defeat the weight of the water in the tank.

Maybe the tanks were installed on the trucks upside down...?

Go ahead and get him that airplane... Geez.
Not too long ago at Piarco I saw the President of Nigeria fly in on his personal jet. One man has an entire fleet of aircraft, paid for by a contry who's GDP per capita is less than $1,000 USD.

I wonder how the purchase decisions came about:
Should we be feeding our starving populations and drilling wells for clean water? Naw. How about AIDS treatment and prevention programs? Nope. Lets buy some airplanes to fly around in!! Yeah!!

Sure doesn't make sense to me.
