Strips and Bricks, almost 7 columns done

I was all ready to get a lot of sewing done this weekend but my sewing machine decided to go on the fritz and I can't get it looked at until Monday : (
The needle, when it goes down into the bobbin casing, hits it and this causes the thread to break and everything to get stuck.
My friend lent me her Kenmore sewing machine but I there's something wrong with the feed dogs and I can't even use that!
So I had all these pretty sewing projects planned for the weekend, and I can't get them done. Can you tell I'm bummed?
The problem started when I was finishing up the 7th strip of the quilt in this photo.
