I didn't know until about 10:30 last night that there were tickets for the taking. I didn't know until this morning that I'd actually go. Why not? Accompanied by Katie, Ali, and Ali's boyfriend.
Ali and I spent nearly the entire third quarter in line for nachos, popcorn, and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate definitely saved the day.
I wore tights, a pair of leggings, a pair of jeans; a lighter pair of socks, some woolen socks, boots; a silk undershirt, a turtleneck, a thermal T, my EZ Ribwarmer; a wool cardigan that I later removed for use as a lap blanket (Katie & I shared), a coat; a neckwarmer, a silk shawl wrapped as a scarf, a free Packers scarf handed out at the gate as we entered; earmuffs; Fetching mitts, Silk Garden Mitered Mittens a la Elizabeth Zimmermann (who knew a thing or two about Wisconsin weather); toe warmers and hand warmers (in two sizes).
We all felt a little bit like the Michelin Man.
