burning house

burning house

If my house caught fire, what would I take?

My favorite purse, shaped like an owl
the matching owl-shaped wallet
iPhone 4 in its BookBook cover
Ray Ban polarized aviators
old pocket knife my father gave me when I was about 10
engraved Zippo lighter
the carved bone honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle) necklace purchased on my honeymoon
the carved wood honu figure, same as above
my watch, the first gift my now-husband gave me
Carrot, my oldest and most favorite stuffed animal
Yashica Mat 124G camera
Polaroid SX-70 Sonar camera
autographed copy of "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman
small basket hand-made by my grandfather and given to me when I was born, now filled with small rocks and other treasures
notebook full of stories written by my grandfather about his life

Not pictured: My wedding ring, because it never leaves my finger; my Canon Rebel XSI, used to take the picture; the diamond stud earrings my father gave me, because I always wear them; and my husband and cat, because they wouldn't fit on the table, ha.

Merry Jolly!

Merry Jolly!

My gifted PX680 Gold Frame is perfect for shooting the holiday festivities!

(Yes, that IS a Starship Enterprise Christmas ornament. I also have a shuttlecraft and a Borg cube. You only WISH you were as cool as me.)

---------------------
Shielded with my brand-new Impossible frog-tongue (which is AWESOME by the way!), shot at room temp in bright indirect sunlight and developed upside down in a warmish place for about 30 minutes before flipping it.

Old, on New

Old, on New

Old Polaroid cameras, meet brand-new Impossible Project test film! A match made in camera heaven.

(Also, please ignore all the dust spots. Apparently it's time to clean my scanner...!)

Reading Room

My third shot on PX100 test film! I really like how this on came out. Shot indoors, with early morning sunlight through the windows, room temperature, shielded with the dark slide method.
