Blizzard of '78
Needham, Massachusetts
That's our dog Archie there, wondering what the hell all this stuff is.
More info on the storm, if you're not familiar with it...

Empanadas
Worcester, Massachusetts
Since the usual coffee place is closed for holiday break, today we ducked into the Theatre Cafe on Main Street. It's just a small little place, but OMG what a great little find. The entire place smelled wonderful!
Looks like they do breakfast and lunch at the moment, with some Mexican dinners coming soon. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even gave us this sampler of Empanadas to try, which were DELICIOUS.

Where I get my sense of humor from
My dad on my grandfather's boat, somewhere off the coast of the lower Cape, maybe on one of our trips to the Vineyard.
I loved that boat, and wish we still had it, but being wooden, it was very expensive to maintain. It was eventually sold and replaced with a sailboat.
Shot sometime during the 70s, I guess.
And I assume that's my grandmother's hat.

Bathing beauties
Washburn Island, East Falmouth, Massachusetts
As promised, coming up will be a few more old family photos that I managed to grab over Christmas.
This is, from left to right, our former neighbor at the Cape Judy, my mom, and my grandmother on the beach at what we called (and still do call) "the island". Not exactly sure on the year here, but sometime in the 50s.
More info on Washburn Island's use as a military area. It's one place that got me interested in exploration and abandoned places.
Thanks to Jeff for scanning this from an original slide.
