Tundra swans and the waning moon

Tundra swans and the waning moon

Took a ride to Bennetts Point Road (in Greenpond SC) to see if we could catch the tundra swan taking off for the morning. Got this group as they got airborne and flew past what remained of the moon....(shot taken 2-11-12)

Guess who's coming for dinner?

Guess who's coming for dinner?

This ibis managed to catch a little snake for supper. The look on the snake's face says it all. (Audubon Swamp Garden 1-18-12)

Sunrise on Bennett Point Road

Sunrise on Bennett Point Road

This is Mary's House Pond, located next to the gate leading into the Bear Island Wildlife Management Area. Although the WMA is closed until February (due to tundra swans and white pelicans that winter there I assume) there is still alot to see and shoot. (1-16-12)
