Monday, May 13: A long walk on the Arrowtown Millenium Trail was a bit painful with a belly full of delicious Amisfield Winery food, but well worth it.
Sunday, May 12: Chris & Diana picked us up from Queenstown & acted as our tour guides for the day. We drove over the Crown Ranges and stopped for photos & a chance to ward off car sickness.
Saturday, May 11: Flying to Queenstown is worth it just for the magical view from the plane. Snow capped mountains and crystal lakes.
Friday, May 10: Life in hospo. At least the Thunderbird crew have a sense of humour!
Thursday, May 9: Jerk! I'll be sending this over to Made It on Victoria St next week.
Wednesday, May 8: Back at Caliente for farewell drinks. They forgot to make my cocktail so made it double strength as an apology (we know the manager). 'Twas very strong indeed!

Monday, May 6: The chefs at Pickle had a pop up ramen shop. Delicious tonkotsu ramen, soft pork belly, pickled chili, and marinated egg.
Sunday, May 5: Breakfast at Finc. I'm really happy that more cafes are serving coffee over ice these days. Plain black coffee over ice, none of this whipped cream and chocolate fish business. This was the Ethiopian Wote Konga filter from Coffee Supreme
Saturday, May 4: May the fourth be with you. Leaving drinks in my favourite garden bar: The Southern Cross.
Tuesday, April 30: I spent much of the past few days mindlessly replacing stuck clasps while watching TV.
Wednesday, May 1: I almost wanted to cry on my walk to work; I tried to take some photos and my lens wouldn't focus, even on manual. I gave it a few frustrated taps and kept trying - this is the photo of success.
Thursday, May 2: We tried Caliente for lunch as a celebration/mini send off for a friend moving to Melbourne. We avoided the breakfast menu on advice that we'd been given & ordered flautas & enchiladas. They were excellent.
Friday, May 3: Playing with the camera as the light quickly faded.
Monday, April 29: Waitangi Park Wetlands. It is so much darker in the evenings already. The sun was setting as I walked home, not long now till I'll be walking home in the dark.

Saturday, April 27: Kate was out of town when we watched all 12 hours of The Hour so Laura invited us over to watch it again/for the first time. We were a bit easier on ourselves this time and only watched 4 episodes. Laura made this amazing cake.
