Jardin du Palais Royal, Paris
The garden of the Palais-Royal was built by Cardinal Richelieu, and designed by Claude Desgots.
After the Restoration, the Duke of Orleans, Louis-Philippe had the garden rebuilt, and they still look more or less the same.

The gardens are famous for exhibiting modern sculptures like the striped columns by Daniel Buren officially known as Les Deux Plateaux, in the courtyard adjacent to the gardens.
