Bronze sculpture of a man listening to the 1930s valve radio. This sculpture by George Segal at the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial, Washington, DC, commemorates the famous fireside radio chats during the Great Depression. Time for some similar initiatives?

Beautifully photographed. Too bad $10 billion a month is still be spent in Iraq in the name of nation building while the structures of our democracy at home continue to crumble.

a sculpture that is a piece of history...
Does history repeat itself?
I think it does, with subtle variations, of course!
