I Got Mine

Despite the postal strike, Staples delivered my long awaited copy of Windows 7 Home Premium today. I'm going to get a new, larger, hard-drive for my 64-bit box, and install this on it. I'll keep the other 2 connected as extra drives.

That was well weird: Windows 7 didn't assign a drive letter to one of the partitioned drives on one of the old disks: I had to go into Computer Management>Disk Manager and assign it a drive letter manually before I could access it! Anyone else had a similar issue?

The 1TB Samsung F1 drive I added is awesome: It's totally silent!

Victory 2

After months I decided that I'd play chess again against Windows 7 - Again running on 3 cores and 8 GB RAM. The game lasted minutes. It was more of a massacre than a battle.
